Have you seen Mt. Fuji up close on train ride? I never had seen Mt. Fuji ever this close when I had my first ride of Shinkansen in 2017. I am always obsessed each time I saw photos or videos seeing Fujisan from a bullet train. Last February on my winter trip to Gifu, I had short lay over at Toyohashi.
The 80 minutes ride from Tokyo via Shinagawa to Toyohashi was unforgettable. I intentionally seated on the right side window seat of the bullet train so I have an unobstructed view of the snow capped mountain. Once you had reached close to Shizuoka, get your IPhone or video camera to capture the majestic Fuji-san. I had used my Iphone 12 PRO Max mounted on DJI OM4( If you want to check this awesome gadget click the link)
The video was captured on 4K 30/ 60 fps with the lesser shakes, thanks to the DJI OM4 Gimbal. I can’t believe how close I can get to Fujisan when I had use the 2x Zoom on my Iphone. It’s still clear and can perfectly see on very close up view with the famous symbol of Japan. You will be awe-inspired just looking Mt Fuji from your camera. Although I had climb this mountain in 2017 but the experience is still different when I viewed from a Shinkansen. It is definitely a must when you travel from Tokyo going to Kansai or heading the western Japan via the Tokaido Shinkansen.
Before Mt Fuji had disappeared from my Iphone view, it made all the view and minutes of the capture videos super amazing. I’m so glad that I made that impulse purchase of DJI OM4 over Amazon
